At first, I actually liked this reed. It played easily and felt good, so I thought I’d found a solid one. But after just a few weeks, it started feeling weak and inconsistent, which got annoying fast. I don’t have much patience for stuff that stops performing that quickly, especially at this price. Maybe I just got a bad one, but the durability wasn’t there for me. Not awful, just disappointing.

I had to do an exchange and it was so easy! The support team helped me out quickly, and there was no hassle at all :)

Some of the strength guesses were close, but a few felt like they were about a half size off. I don’t think I’m being overly picky here, because when you’re trying to get the right fit or feel, that small difference actually does matter.

I picked up a legere reed the sound is nice, clear, steady, and it doesn’t have that fussy feel, well, at least compared to some cane reeds I’ve used. It did take me a little while to adjust because switching from cane is kind of a weird change at first. I wouldn’t say it’s perfect for every setup, but once I got comfortable with it, I was happy with the tone overall

I’ve been using legere reeds for a while now, the best thing about them is how consistent they are. When I buy the same strength, they usually feel close from one reed to the next, which is a huge relief compared to sorting through cane reeds.

That said, they’re not all perfect for me, and every now and then I still have to mess around with a different strength. For the price, I kind of expect a little more, or at least an apology when one doesn’t feel quite right. Still, they save me a lot of time overall, so I’d give them 4 stars...
